Works like a charm. I have a 52 gallon corner tank, and the reach to the back corner is beyond my reach when cleaning the tank. I purchased an 8" and a 16" clear tube that I put on the end of the filter and I can now reach the back corner of the tank without going in up to my shoulder. Worth every penny!! The switch comes in handy trying to avoid sucking up the pleco fry in my tank. I highly recommend this Spot Vacuum!
I would love to see some type of attachment to clean hard to reach areas and something to keep the shrimp from being sucked in 😉
This little vac is awesome!!! It does a great job and easy to use and clean it out. The first time I used it I said “wow wow wow”. Makes my job much easier. Thank you!!!
I love my spot Vacuum ! It has been great at gettin rid of my snail investation.I would recommend a cookie of things. 1) The on/off switch should be higher up on the cord. 2) I built a water cleaner (polisher) out of a water pump and the end of a plastic bottle. I run it when the water has too much debris in it. It would be awesome if you added a holder with suction cups so the Spot Vac could be mounted on the inside of the glass and polish the water. Thank you!
Great experience overall. I’m very happy with the spot aquarium vacuum. The pump housing initially caused some problems, but UnderwaterGardens quickly and generously replaced it. The pump works perfectly now.
i love this little thing. It cleans out algae and debris without sucking the water right out of the tank so I can work on it for a little while and it's fine. i have to change the sponges out quite a lot. instead of going to the sink each time i keep the the sponges near me so i can just trade them out quick. it's well designed it's a really good idea, respect .
Very convenient item for cleaning spots if no water change is needed. Very satisfied. Thank you.
I had concerns about using the spot vacuum before I decided to purchase it. I sent an email asking questions on how the vacuum would effect my tank as I use soil capped off with sand. She responded quickly and with a thorough explanation on how to use it so that sand wouldn't be picked up into the filter. I replied thanking her and made a remark that whoever created the vacuum was a genius! She replied that she created it herself, so big kuddos to you, you did an amazing job! There's a really cute user guide sent with your order that is VERY easy to understand on how to use the vacuum. Overall, customer service, spot vacuum, filters, and shipping is AWESOME!!
I purchased the filters along with the spot vacuum so I would have a supply on hand,. They are not a cheap quality and it works wonderful in holding onto the debris that's picked up from the fish tank. It does come with two different filters. I recommend that you buy whichever filter you choose so that way you have a supply when needed.
I'm a first time beginner fish tank owner who sat down and did a lot of research by watching videos and such. As I'm watching videos on how to clean your tank, I'm thinking, I'm 60 yrs old, there's got to be an easier way besides hooking this and that up, then chugging a bucket of water around the house. Then a video pops up with the spot vacuum. Don't think I wasn't excited about watching this! This was exactly what I had in mind. This has been the best purchase that I've made. It's so easy to use and does a wonderful job in cleaning the tank. I use soil capped off with sand and the vacuum does not pick up the sand if you go by her instructions. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this vacuum . Customer service is great, she will get back to you in a quickly manner and answer all your questions, and the shipping is quick. Thank you so much for creating this vacuum, makes my hobby more enjoyable and less stressful!!
It was hard pulling the trigger to buy the Spot Vacuum. My internal battle was the cost so convinced myself, I could clean debris from my tank the old fish way with a hose. But the Vacuum had a 20% discount so I decided to take the plunge. I truly like this product. The difference maker between using the spot vacuum and a hose, is you do not need to get a bucket and hope you can clean all the debris from the tank before your tank run dry of water. No water removal. Just pick it up plug it in clean the debris and your done. I love the Spot Vacuum.
A great little spot vacuum. I have a gravel vac that doesn't pull water out for my big tanks and was wanting something small enough for the smaller tanks and this is perfect. I've used it in my 10 and 20 gallon so far. I'd love to see an attachment option in the future that could work as a screen at the front opening of the vac that would prevent smaller substrate like stratum from getting sucked up into the chamber when needed. That said, the way it is currently is awesome as you could almost use it to go and pick up snails and stuff easily because it is big enough to do that and the sponge prevents anything from getting sucked into the motor so you could just empty it out and net out any baby shrimp or anything you want to keep aroud in the tank.
Ordered qty 15 of Rotala Narrow Leaf Sp. Red
Rotala Narrow Leaf Sp. Red. Despite the carrier missing a scan and delivering 3 days later than was scheduled (4/20), the plants arrived healthy and are doing well in my aquarium. I belive that the combination of health of the plants at time of shipping along with the care and quality taken with packaging of the plants is why they arrived healthy and beautiful.
Note:
in the shared picture, the Rotala Narrow Leaf Sp. Red and plant near the stem plant back right are bothe from Underwater Gardens.
